Double Play: Should the Orioles Have Traded Tommy Hunter?
August 6, 2015

Episode 133: It’s Just a Little Crush

Leading Off

The Orioles take the homestand and manage to squeak out with a 5-2 record despite some terrible starting pitching during the Detroit series.  And now we go late night with a West Coast trip. Just like our podcast, late-night baseball would not be complete without the Drink of the Week.

This Week on the Twitters (TWotT)

Around the Bases

crushHR2

The Orioles team got shuffled up on Friday.  So much to talk about…let’s get some structure and go Around the Bases.

First Base

The Orioles traded for Gerardo Parra for Zach Davies.  Did the Orioles make the same move they did last year in trading Eduardo Rodriguez for Andrew Miller?

Second Base

The Orioles released Bud Norris and traded Tommy Hunter.  The boys discuss each of the moves and the merits of each.

Third Base

Should we be expecting any more moves during August to the Orioles?

Home Plate

Is it tougher now to be a fan than during the dark ages?

Just a Little Crush?

daviswince3

Have you noticed lately that Chris Davis has been really good at the plate?  Could we be seeing a resurgent Chris Davis once again?

Blowing the Save

bubbles

Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
