2013 BEVy Awards

The BEVys are here!

After months of obsessing, planning, and teasing, the 2013 BEVy Awards show is here! The BEVys is an annual award show presented by the Bird’s Eye View podcast to recognize outstanding praise- and mock-worthy achievements by the Baltimore Orioles, their fans, related media, and anyone else who looks at us the wrong way.

The show features an embarrassing opening, guest appearances by some of our friends and colleagues in the Bird-o-sphere, and special musical appearances by Orioles-related musical acts. It’s very important that as you listen to the show, you lower your expectations, and keep them on the floor.

There are so many people to thank for all the hard work that went into this special episode. Thanks to

  • The participating members of the Bird-o-sphere, for both their contributions, and their listening ear.
  • Jovial Jay Shepard, for lending his voice.
  • Songs from the Moon, for allowing us to use their great tune as our show’s theme song
  • You! Thanks for listening – this was a long one. We hope it bails you out of a long commute or something.

Apologies to Baltimorons, for cutting their brilliant clip to pieces. Sorry gents, the time was already insane. We encourage you to check out the clip in its entirety here.

Holy shit. Scott asked “Can I have a rape kit?” after performing the “Model of a Baltimorian Sports Podcaster” and he had every reason to request this. I want to make all of my twitter followers ask the same question so can you archive a cut of just that song??? Please?!
