This week was supposed to mark the beginning of our celebration of Opening Day. In an alternate universe, this episode would have been filled with giddy descriptions of our High Holy Day plans.

Instead, we are all locked inside, wondering if baseball is going to happen this season. So… that’s fun?

Pirates players purchased 400+ pizzas (plus pasta) from Slice on Broadway and Pizzeria Davide today and had it delivered to Allegheny General Hospital for lunch.

What Is Happening?!?!

Things may be quiet right now, but if you look hard enough, you can find interesting nuggets about the Orioles. Yes, even despite the fact that COVID-19 has brought baseball to a screeching halt.

We discuss the state of the Orioles rotation, and our surprise at the candidates that seem lined up for a spot. We discuss Mason Williams (and not library-funding fanfic). We also wonder what kind of information the Orioles have to base their roster decisions, in the absence of Spring Training.

Then… things fall apart. As per usual. This is Bird’s Eye View, after all.
